A Parisian of Ghanaian descent, composer and inventor of the digital instruments through which he creates his music, Niamké Désiré, aka Aho Ssan, has moved with remarkable ease over the years between ambient, hip hop, dubstep, sound design and film scores. His records are at once granular and solemn, elusive and monolithic, thematically capable of ranging from Baudrillard’s thought to the prophecy of an apocalypse that now feels imminent. It is to this latter possibility – and to the total reset of the planet we inhabit that would follow – that his latest album, The Sun Turned Black, is devoted. He presents it at ROBOT 2026.
