Lawrence English

Hailing from Brisbane, the synthesis of the “Renessaince Man”, updated to the third millennium: Lawrence English is a composer, producer, multimedia artist, curator, sound designer, essayist, university researcher. Alongside Jamie Stewart of Xiu Xiu, he is also part of Hexa, the project through which they created the soundtrack for David Lynch’s Factory Photographs exhibition. At ROBOT 2026, he presents the latest of his “actions” – the term he uses for his live interventions – centred on the Italian premiere of his new album: a probe designed to reconnect the audience with their own relationship to listening, place and representation.
